Empowering rural women artisans through sustainable crafts and fair trade practices
Founded in 2015, Sanjeevi began as a small initiative to support women artisans in rural Sri Lanka. What started with just 5 women in a single village has now grown into a movement empowering over 150 women across 25+ communities.
We recognized the incredible talent and traditional skills of these women that were being undervalued and underpaid. Sanjeevi was created to bridge the gap between these artisans and conscious consumers worldwide.
Driving sustainable change through ethical commerce
To empower rural women artisans by providing fair wages, skills development, and access to global markets while preserving traditional crafts and promoting sustainable practices.
To create a world where every woman artisan has the opportunity to thrive economically while maintaining cultural heritage and environmental sustainability.
Principles that guide everything we do
We believe in creating economic independence and decision-making power for women through dignified work opportunities.
We prioritize eco-friendly materials and processes that minimize environmental impact while maximizing social good.
We ensure artisans receive fair compensation and work in safe conditions with transparent business practices.
